Analyzes for Crash Tag Team Racing was largely divided; appreciation was given to the game’s visual aesthetic, humor, and extra material, but the racing mechanics and track designs were criticized for lacking creativity, and the graphics quality was thought to be patchy. On June 21, 2019, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which included upgraded game content, was published.
Gameplay
Firstly, in each of the park’s five designed zones, the player assumes supervision of Crash Bandicoot, whose mission is to find the lost Power Gems and Ebenezer von Clutch’s Black Power Gem. The player will engage in races and minigames to obtain Power Crystals and Wumpa Coins, the park’s currency. And identify the Power Gem required to unlock the park’s five regions. It finally solves a puzzle surrounding the reality of the Power Gem thief.
In addition to earning Extra Wumpa Coins and Power Crystals by completing advancing, which involves platforming. Players can enter platforming gates to obtain more platforming as they investigate the park. Minigames, cars, weapon upgrades, clothes, and conversations with characters that have a symbol over their heads are all possible. Consuming Wumpa Whip temporarily increases the player’s coin multiplier. However, it allows them to obtain additional money from smashing crates and collecting Wumpa Coins, which may be used to purchase prizes like new clothes.
Secondly, after each themed section, a Power Gem must be unlocked to access a new region of the theme park. This can be done by gathering Power Crystals. Additionally, sequences known as “Die-O-Ramas” show Crash suffering serious injuries or being “killed” in various amusing ways. Crash can get a new costume by unlocking all 34 Die-O-Ramas. The Die-O-Ramas are always visible from the main menu’s Extras section.
