Description
“Kingdom Hearts – Birth By Sleep” is the sixth installment in the game of Kingdom Hearts Series. It is a follow-up set 10 years before the events of the first Kingdom Hearts game. To find Master Xehanort, who has gone missing, and to save the kingdoms from beings known as the Unversed. The game revolves around the travels of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus—characters that had a brief role in Kingdom Hearts II. The user may choose from multiple situations for the three characters when playing.
The game has a redesigned battle system with new aspects that set it apart from the series’ earlier titles. Tai Yasue co-directed the game with Tetsuya Nomura serving as director. Nomura has called the game “Episode 0” and “Episode 0.1” after Kingdom Hearts χ was released, saying that it is on the same level and has a similar significance as Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. As of November 2010, the game had sold 1.27 million copies worldwide and earned favorable reviews from video game publications. While critics complained about the level of design and characters, they appreciated the game’s playability, visuals, soundtrack, and plot.
Gameplay
This is a hack-and-slash game that presents the Command System, a new gameplay mechanic for the series. With this system, players may add Deck Commands—a collection of skills and actions they can use whenever they choose—to their Command Deck. Regular hits and Command activation fill an area above the Command Deck. The player’s default attack becomes the “Surge” Command, depending on the active Command Style, which may build up strong combinations when specific conditions are met and the gauge is complete. The stronger “Storm” command replaces the “Surge” command when the gauge is filled in twice.
Magic Points (MP) are not used in the game to put magic or perform magic. Instead, it makes use of a system called Focus, which is represented on the screen by an orange gauge. Using a method known as “Shotlock,” the player may utilize Focus to attack opponents in the first person. And utilize centering spells—which vary depending on the character and technique—depleting the gauge about the number of targets. After being empty, the Focus gauge rapidly fills up with each hit and Deck Command the player performs while hitting an opponent.
A fresh component included in the game is the Dimension Link (D-Link), which is shown on the screen by a blue gauge. To substitute the orders in the player’s personalized command deck with an established set of commands that varies with each D-Link, it is utilized to get power from specific partners that the player personalities face during the game, such as Experiment 626. When a D-Link’s command gauge fills up, an excellent finishing move that destroys foes is executed. Every ending hit has two levels which, like the Command System, can make an ending hit stronger than it was previously. The D-Link can only be utilized when the matching gauge is fully charged. To use the D-Link, click the right horizontal pad button to bring up the D-Link menu. Then, pick the partner of your choice.
