Description
Acquire created Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, an undercover game. Publishers in Japan are from software, while Ubisoft handles global distribution.
There are still doubts of duplicity revolving around Lord Gohda and his people, and the silence in his kingdom has not yet returned. Lord Gohda then asks Rikimaru and Ayame, the Azuma Ninja to look into it. Rikimaru quickly learns that there is a story to declare war. In the meantime, Lord Gohda’s right-handed man, Counselor Sekiya, sets up a fortune-teller to determine the future of Lord Gohda’s reign. Sadly, it turns out that the fortune-teller is a fraud. Princess Kiku, the daughter of Lord Gohda, is seized.
Gameplay
Players can assume the handle of both Rikimaru and Ayame in Shadow Assassins. The perspective from the camera is across the shoulder. The 10 goals are all located on the ground. Except for sword fights, there are no health bars in this game. Players will take on the roles of Rikimaru for the first five levels and Ayame for levels six through nine. Additionally, there are 50 “Assignments” that are secondary duties. Ayame finds it more difficult to hide bodies because she is weak but speedy. The levels are also quite different; Rikimaru’s are easier, according to FromSoftware. On the other hand, Ayame is ” somewhat trickier, she may utilize surroundings more.” In the game, approximately ten things have more than one function. For example, a cat can be both an interruption and a spy.
The PSP version has similar gameplay. Its functions have been modified to better fit the handheld’s capabilities, therefore the motion functions have been deleted. However, some comparable features including moving ahead with the analog stick and selecting items with the D-pad, have remained. The player now has to move the analog stick and push the PSP console’s face button. It’s to initiate an undercover kill, which is a minor modification to the original controls.
