Description
Yuke implemented UFC Undisputed 2010. It is a mixed martial arts fighting game featuring fighters and properties from the Ultimate Fighting Championship. This is the game which was released through THQ in 2010. It was discharged on several platforms like PS3, PSP & Xbox 360. This game is a follow-up to the popular UFC 2009 Undisputed. It is the second to be released under THQ’s 2007 agreement with the UFC. 2012 saw the publication of UFC Undisputed 3, another successor.
At the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards, where UFC 2009 Undisputed won the Best Individual Sports Game award. A teaser trailer for the game was launched on December 12, 2009. However, it featured a first look at Kimbo Slice, a competitor in “The Ultimate Fighter – Heavyweights”. In April 2010, the complete roster was revealed.
Gameplay
Firstly, the abilities and characteristics of every fighter on the Undisputed 2010 roster are only visible when choosing a fighter in exhibition mode. There isn’t another way to see a fighter’s moves. The only way to see a fighter’s moves is to pause the game and select the controls while using a fighter. Two fighters that can be unlocked are Shaquille O’Neal and the Tapout team from UFC 2009 Undisputed.
There are several updates from UFC Undisputed 2009 to the former edition: –
- Enhanced career mode, beginning in the World Fighting Alliance. And improve controls, including an upgrade of ground and clinch grappling.
- The use of cage walls, TKO (cut and injury) finishes, and the addition of karate, Greco-Roman wrestling, and Judo fighting styles are some of the changes made to the gameplay.
- Expanded selection of MMA clothing stores and debuted post-fight wear.
- The O2, Center Bell, and GM Place are some of the new arenas.
Secondly, players can design their fighters and ascend to the top of the UFC in career mode. After competing in amateur bouts, the player moves on to the World Fighting Alliance. There Dana White extends an invitation for him to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. However, a participant can choose to fight in the pay-per-view cards after winning the smaller Fight Night events.
Thirdly, following several wins, an athlete is eligible for a title shot. Once the player takes the title and successfully defends it for a while. Then they can choose to move up a weight class and challenge for a title there. The one who battles will retire and turn into a trainer following 54 fights. Ultimate Fights Mode is the recurrence of the Classic Fights Mode from UFC 2009 Undisputed. Moreover, gamers can access videos and relive some of the best UFC bouts in history.
