Description
The video game “WWE All Stars” presents professional wrestling and was created by THQ San Diego. However, it was for various platforms like PS3, Xbox 360, and Subdued Software for the PS2, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and PSP. Wrestlers from the current and past slug it out in action-packed matches in this game. It was released on March 29, 2011 in North America and April 1, 2011 in Europe. This was the only one which is available for Nintendo 3DS. Combinations play a key role in gameplay – both on the ground and in midair. The game is a hybrid of a fighting and wrestling simulation.
Gameplay
Firstly, there are 3 modes of gameplay in All Stars that are (I) Path of Champions (II) Fantasy Warfare (III) Exhibition
A 10-match gauntlet pits participants against WWE Celebrities Legends, and assign Teams. The plot advances through short clips highlighting D-Generation X, Randy Orton, and Undertaker. However, a ladder-style tournament containing three particular storylines is offered by Path of Champions. Secondly, it focuses on the Undertaker, Path of Champions Superstars presenting Randy Orton, and above Tag Team featuring D-Generation X. Minimized moves are performed through characters such as Triple H’s Pedigree and John Cena’s Attitude Adjustment. And that is running high into the air and sending shockwaves across the ring.
Thirdly, along with historical wrestlers like Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Ted Dibiase, and Michael Hayes, as well as commentary from Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler—the latter of whom is also a playable character—the game includes current gaming wrestlers like Kane, Randy Orton, Triple H, the Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Sheamus, and John Cena.
Lastly, in the Fantasy Warfare game mode, historical WWE Legends square off against modern Superstars who share many of the same traits. There are fifteen such dream matches in total. Moreover, every game starts with a video ad that introduces the participants and tells a unique story based on their pasts.
